ZEISS WARRANTY POLICY FOR CINEMATOGRAPHY LENSES 

ZEISS warrants for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase that the product is free from defects in material and workmanship (“Warranty”). During the warranty period, ZEISS will remedy defects free of charge by repair or replacement with an equivalent product in working order at its discretion.

1. Compact Prime CP.3 and CP.3 XD warranty may be extended to two years after filling out the ZEISS Online Registration within four weeks after the purchase.

Cost of Warranty Service

If it is a warranty product, the cost of shipping to the service center is paid by the customer, and all expenses after receiving are covered by ZEISS.

What is not covered by this Warranty / Limitation of liability 

The Warranty does not apply if the defect is attributable to misuse, neglect, accidental damage, alteration of the product or improper treatment, including any interference with the product by unauthorized workshops or persons. This Warranty is void if the damage was caused by the use of accessories not sold or authorized by ZEISS or by service by persons not authorized by ZEISS. This Warranty does not cover claims resulting from natural disasters (e.g. floods, storms, fire) or acts of war or terrorism, and does not apply to damage resulting from combat situations. ZEISS may at its sole discretion extend the service under this Warranty to include damage resulting from the aforementioned circumstances.
